Designers Against Aids ft. Tokio Hotel

Aangezien het hoofd van Designers Against Aids zo vriendelijk is om ons regelmatig de mails met het nieuws over DAA te sturen, willen we deze vanaf nu ook hier met jullie delen.
(De meeste zijn volgens mij dezelfde ald je op Facebook krijgt, maar goed).

Ook zouden Tokio Hotel en DAA weer gaan samenwerken; meer info daarover volgende maand.

Hi,
We created the Designers against AIDs fan page on Facebook today and
wanted to share this news with Tokio Hotel fans first, as you have
been supporting us in a fantastic way, ever since the Tokio Hotel
members participated to Fashion against AIDS -and after that, in their
fundraising campaign for our education center- that's almost ready to
be opened by the way (we're moving there on August 25th!) and that's
happening thanks to stars like Bill, Tom, Georg and Gustav- and people
like you!

How are you? Since we gave the news about the DAA book, a lot of fans
have already reacted on our Facebook fan page or on our website www.designersagainstaids.com
saying that they'd love to buy one -or even more than one,
especially if there's a Tokio Hotel poster included.
One concern seems to be that many fans don't know how they can get
their hands on a copy, as they live all over the world (from Taiwan
and Australia to the US, Uruguay and Poland and every country in
between) and of course the book won't be in book stores worldwide
(mostly in museum stores in world capitals) as we're still a
relatively small organization.
As we aim to make the DAA Book available to as many young people
worldwide as possible (we had reactions from TH fans in over 35
countries so far!), we want to know: would/could you buy this book
online? For instance, if you're younger than 18, do you have an adult
family member or friend who could order it in your place?
If enough fans agree, we'll put the book (including a Tokio Hotel
poster!) online in October on the new website of publisher Ludion -in
time for Christmas- and we'll try to keep the shipping costs as
affordable as possible. Please spread the word and let us know, so we
can print enough books and posters for all of you;-)!

country -maybe with the help of the Official TH fan club and/or street
team to help coordinate and count how many prospective buyers there
are- and when you know how many books you need per country, ask a good
local bookstore to order the book 'Designers afainst AIDS- The First
Decade!' (published by Ludion in Belgium; don't forget to mention they
need to order the book with the TH poster) for you, saving shipping
costs in the process ...What do you think? Imo, when a book store
knows they will sell a lot of books, they will order them and it will
make it easier for you to buy one.

PS I include a mock-up of the book cover specially made for Tokio
Hotel fans- the reason we use this 'old' photo is because the book
deals with 10 years of the work of Designers against AIDS and it shows
the boys when they were doing our 'Fashion against AIDS' campaign in
2009. We love new photos as much as you do, but it makes no sense in
this context.
